A mom of two has shared her simple method for getting rid of dirt between the gap between sliding doors and the common household item she uses for cleaning.
Carolina McCauley, from Perth, posted a TikTok Video showing exactly how she cleans the space between her sliding doors using a sponge.
The first thing she did was find one that was wide enough to fit in the space, then started marking the areas where there were grooves with a sketch pencil.

She then partially cut the sponge on all the lines she marked and created the perfect, personalized cleaning instrument.
She soaked the sponge in lukewarm water and slipped it into the gap of her sliding door, leaving it spotless afterwards.
The video received nearly 30,000 views and many were very impressed with the creative hack.

Carolina also shared several other simple hacks and tricks she uses to keep her house clean.
She recently revealed four ways she uses vinegar to clean a range of areas around her home – including the bathroom and the laundry.
Vinegar is known to be a commonly used natural antibacterial to kill unwanted germs from surfaces around the home and is a suitable alternative to using harsh chemicals.

Many often forget to clean the washing machine, which can be easily done by adding a cup of vinegar to all three detergent compartments and choosing a quick rinse cycle.
First Carolina combined dish soap with vinegar in a spray bottle, then applied it to the tiles in the shower.
The soap and vinegar combination worked to clean the shower and leave it sparkling clean after a quick scrub.
Of the four tricks, the most interesting way to use vinegar is to soak the shower head in a bag of vinegar for a few minutes to remove “hard water”.

Carolina also filled a spray bottle half with water and the other half with vinegar for the perfect window spray.

The video has since received over 31,000 views, with many thanking Carolina for sharing the tips.
