The City of Ocala is soliciting quotes for vendor to clean and pressure wash downtown parking lot
The City of Ocala is seeking quotes for an experienced vendor to provide deep cleaning and pressure washing services for the downtown parking lot located at 201 E Fort King Street.
RFP is currently posted through the City of Ocala Procurement and Contracts Office and closes Friday, February 25 at 2 p.m.
Depending on the scope of work outlined in the application, the project includes blowing off any excess debris from parking garage floors and stairwells, pre-treating any oil stains, pressure cleaning all parking garage floors with 3,500-4,000 psi machinery and surface cleaners, rinsing of any remaining residue, collecting contaminated water (water containing degreasers or chemicals cannot be washed in the streets), pressure washing of all stairwells and pressure washing of all walls on upper floors that are exposed to the elements.
The seller must have three years of experience providing parking lot and garage cleaning services.
According to the city, the parking lot was built in 2015 and these cleaning services were never completed. The garage consists of 401 parking spaces, three levels and two stairwells.
Since the parking garage must be closed during the major cleaning, the proposed work schedule would be on weekdays and preferably between the hours of 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
