Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals and Southern Nationals release 2022 calendar of events

(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Series promoter Ray Cook is excited to release the 2022 schedule for the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals and Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals series. The two mini-series programs feature twelve events in twelve different locations across the South East for a total of nearly $ 650,000 on the stock market. As was the case in 2021, the champion of each tour will receive a prize of $ 10,053, but additional points have been added for all other pilots who maintain perfect attendance.

“I am very proud of the schedules we have put in place for the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals and the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals,” Cook said during the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show this weekend in downtown Indianapolis. . “With all the new races already announced – especially in our region – it was difficult to find dates that did not conflict with neighboring tracks. I think we’ve put the pieces of the puzzle together pretty well and have a good spring and summer schedule. We have more five-figure races than ever before and we’ve added points to try and get more guys to stay on the entire circuit. The Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals series kicks off with a double weekend in Peach State with a check for $ 10,053 up for grabs March 4 at Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, GA and March 5 at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA. From there, the series will cross states of North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia for a total of twelve races, six of which will yield five-figure wages.

Other tracks on the Spring Nationals roster include Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, NC, Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia, Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee, Crossville Speedway in Crossville, Tennessee, Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee, Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, GA, East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama, Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, Georgia, Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA and Rome Speedway in Rome Georgia. The top-grossing race of the tour will once again be the ‘Lil Bill Corum Memorial at Tazewell (TN) Speedway on April 16, as a top prize of $ 21,000 ($ 64,000 purse) will be up for grabs in a program of a day that will be co-sanctioned with the Iron-Man Late Model series.

After a brief hiatus of a month and a half after the Spring Nationals final at Rome (GA) Speedway, the 18th edition of the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series will take center stage. For the first time in the history of the miniseries, eight of the twelve shows will pay the winner $ 10,053. The tour will begin again at Beckley Motorsports Park in Beckley, West Virginia on Friday, July 15. From there, the Southern Nationals will visit the states of Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina.
